Simcity 4 Deluxe Update Patch
I've owned a copy of Simcity 4 for over a year now which I bought off Trademe. The game has always run perfectly and I've never had any problems with it up until now. I've only just discovered that there's been a patch around for Simcity 4 for over 2 years now which fixes a lot of problems. I downloaded it and tried to install but I got the following error message:
Simcity_1.dat not found. However a file of the same name was found. Not patched due to file contents not matching. Continue?
I clicked continue the first time and all that happened was my Simcity installation stopped working.
I've tried everything including searching the web and contacting EA support to no avail. What I believe is that the file could possibly be corrupted on the disc itself. In that case would anyone be willing to burn, upload or send me a patched copy of the file? I own an original copy of Simcity 4 and I wouldn't think it would be against any law or rule to replace one file.
